Earn The Neptune Delegator Airdrop and Accolade
The Delegator accolade has arrived and is coming with a big airdrop. Here’s what you need to know to earn the airdrop and maximize your leaderboard points by delegating to the Neptune Foundation validator on the Injective Hub staking page.
Delegator Airdrop
All delegators to the Neptune Foundation validator will be eligible for 4% of the total token supply based on weekly snapshots (taken randomly). This way, the airdrop is weighted using the amount delegated and the time spent delegating.
Total airdrop amounts for all categories along with other token information is coming shortly in a new article series centered around Neptune Tokenomics. Stay tuned for that next week.
How to Delegate
If you’re familiar with staking, then follow the button found on the leaderboard or head to the “Staking” page of the Injective Hub or other staking dashboards. Navigate to the Neptune Foundation validator and select the amount you would like and proceed to stake. You should then see your accolade appear on the leaderboard.
When staking INJ for the first time, you need to make sure your INJ is in a supported wallet and brought to the Injective chain. You can request support on Discord if you need help.

If you are already staking $INJ and you wish to switch validators, then select ‘Redelegate’ or ‘Switch Validator’ for some interfaces and choose the validator. Please note that unstaking your $INJ takes 21 days while redelegating occurs immediately, regardless of the validator.
Active vs Inactive Set Delegations
Injective’s active set includes only 60 of the largest validators by INJ delegated. Only validators in the active set earn staking returns. Stakers who delegate to validators in the ‘inactive’ set do not earn staking returns until the validator reaches the active set.
At the time of posting, the Neptune Foundation validator is in the inactive set and not earning INJ rewards. For this reason, the Delegator airdrop and accolade incorporate both time and weight so early supporters can build a larger share the longer it takes to reach the active set.
How Neptune’s Validator Supports the Community
Neptune is embedding itself as a core component of Injective’s DeFi ecosystem and as such, running a validator allows for a greater voice in governance and the ability to earn commissions that can be used for further feature development and community support. Commissions are set to 5%.
